Title: No Tables are returned when Reverse Engineering a SQL Script in CA Erwin Data Modeler
Why am I not getting any Tables when Reverse Engineering a SQL Script, even though the process does finish?
Your SQL Script must have been saved using Unicode Format, which is very common in SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, but can happen in other Database's SQL Scripts. To quickly resolve the problem, open the Script file using Window's NotePad.exe, chooseFile | Save As, and then change 'Save as type' to All Files and make sure the 'Encoding' says ANSI (Figure 1).
Nowtry to Reverse Engineer the SQL Script again using CA ERwin Data Modeler and this time the Tables will be created.
